If you’re anything like me, you’ve probably got a stash of popsicle sticks, a roll of packing tape that’s somewhere in the junk drawer, and little hands that love picking flowers and leaves every time you go outside. This quick and easy craft turns all of that into a keepsake — and a perfect way to get your kids outside exploring nature.
These DIY Flower Frames are made with just a few supplies, and they turn your kids’ flower collections into sun-catching art you can hang anywhere in your home.
What You’ll Need
Popsicle sticks (4 per frame)
Hot glue (or any kind of glue)
Clear packing tape
Scissors
Fresh or dried flowers, leaves, petals, or grass
A marker for names and designs (optional)
How to Make Them
Create your frame
Lay out four popsicle sticks in a square and tape or glue the corners together. If you don't have popsicle sticks, you can always use twigs and tie them with string or hot glue!
Add the sticky layer
Stick a piece of clear packing tape across the back of the frame (sticky side facing in). Continue until it is all filled in.
Go on a nature hunt!
Let your kids collect flowers, petals, clovers, leaves — anything small they find in the yard, garden, or on a walk. Stick them right on the frame!
Press and seal
When you get back home, you can place another piece of tape over the top to “laminate” it in place.
Label and hang
Write their names on the frame, or let them design it themselves, and hang them up to display their little masterpieces.

Why We Love It
This craft combines outdoor play, creativity, and sensory learning all in one. It’s low-mess, low-stress, and gives you a sweet little peek into how your kids see the world. Plus, the finished frames look so pretty hanging in a window — like tiny nature portraits.
